Beach, Teeth and FATHER'S DAY

I've got to rush a few letters here to catch up to a holiday I've been looking forward to, HAPPY FATHER's DAY, to one of the best Dad's in the world. I couldn't have imagined a better dad for my children. I'll get back to that.

B is for Beach (I know I'm double lettering here)

Our first weekend in AZ turned into a weekend in San Diego. Evan wanted one last vacation before school started. It's a 5 hour drive and well worth it. We spent 2 days playing on the beach, or at least me and Evan did, Josh mostly ate the sand. Poor guy had sandy diapers for 2 days. It was almost imposible to keep his mouth and hands out of the sand. Joshua loved the beach, the sand and definietly loved the water. He would hold our hands and run toward the waves. Evan and Josh played in the sand for hours, building castles that Josh would quickly destroy, digging holes to climb out of, Joshua would do his funny bear crawl and take a break with his head in the sand. Joshua even took a whole hour nap on the beach. Amazing. Evan got to go surfing with our friend Matt Frandsen while his wife, Amanda and I laughed at Josh playing in the sand.

After a few hours on the beach we went to lunch with Matt and Amanda to a really good hawaiian barbeque place right off the beach. What a fun weekend spending time relaxing and playing with my two favorite boys. It was so fun to watch Joshua explore and enjoy the beach.

C means he's Cutting Teeth!

Last Sunday Joshua's top front right tooth finally came in. Then a couple days later the other side broke through as well. Today they are out even more. He didnt act too differently with the first come coming but had a rough time when the other one followed. He's pretty funny when he wakes up in the morning or after a nap, his bottom lip and teeth seem to have an underbite thing going on. Once he gets active his face is normal again. Kinda a bubba gump with a grump face for a few minutes. You can't see his teeth in the picture cuz he's still a little sensitive about us touching them. He might be shy too.

D for my Dear aDorble Baby Daddy!
HAPPY DADDY's DAY!!!!!!!

Here's my shout out to one of the best daddy's in the universe. I'm so lucky and grateful for having such a supportive, loving, playful daddy for my Joshy. Joshua lights up and screams when daddy walks in the door. This past week Josh has realized that the door is the secret place dad appears so he likes to hang out there and play. Joshua's favorite word (okay I know, the sound he makes the most) is Daa Daa Daa. Joshy loves to cuddle with Daddy and lays on his shoulder when daddy gets home from school. Evan is a wonderful dad, he changes battle zone diapers that need 3 layers of gloves without me even asking. Evan loves to take Joshua to the pool, play hide and seek (peek a boo) throughout the house, crawl around together and make sounds together. Thank you for being such a good Dad. I love you!

Now the shout out for the 2 best examples of Dad's in the world. I'm a pretty lucky girl surrounded by such great men. I sure wish I could give and get a big hug from my daddy today. PS it's so weird to be a mom with these crazy emotions, I kinda choke up thinking about my dad. Always supportive, always ready to listen and give advise only when needed. My dad helps me remember the important things in life. Every conversation we have starts and ends with my dad letting me know how loved I am. He lets me know loud and clear no matter what's going on in his life the moment I call he says He's doing great now that he hears my voice, or now that he's with me. I know that's true with each of my siblings. I love you Dad! I'm a lucky girl to have you for my dad!

As we pull into the Ricks house I just look around as we quickly spot Glen doing some kind of project on the house or yard. That man is the definition of active. Always inventing, building, imagining, designing, fixing, pondering, smiling and doing. Thanks for being such a great Dad and Grandpa. It's so sweet to watch Evan repeat some of the things he told me Glen did with his boys when they were little. I'm grateful Evan had such a great example of a father and husband to learn from and such a supportive and driven dad in his life. Happy Fathers Day Glen!
