Life in Atrizona

Starting a new chapter in our lives moving to Arizona calls for a serious dedication to this blog thing. I've never felt like a good blogger and i don't love the idea of sharing so much about our lives (like facebook) but being 10 hours away from all our friends and family means I don't want our adventures and Joshua's milestones to be missed. I'm always thinking of new ideas that have to do with children and child development. I have this weird obsession with the ABC's. I love to think of ABC book ideas. So in an effort to organize my posts and channel my thoughts our blog is now our life from A to Z (You know, like AZ Arizona)

Let's get to it.
A for Arizona!

We're here!! Evan, Joshua and I flew to Arizona in April for a interview at Midwestern University for the Physical Therapy program. We had a great time and my hopes were very high. Each day we waited to hear if Evan got in or not. After our hopes had a ride on a roller coaster we found out Evan got accepted into the 3 year Physical Therapy program and school would be starting May 30th. THAT WAS 3 WEEKS AWAY!! My "To Do" List got really long really fast. I'll skip all the details and start with the here and now. We are loving life here. It's only been a week and a half but it's been great. We live in a big apartment complex right by a big mall, tons of awesome stores and restaurants. It's going to be hard not spending money and going out to eat but once the crazy hot weather isn't so crazy hot there are a lot of things to do and places to go in the great outdoors of Arizona.

Arizona is set up in the grid system so getting around is so easy. Our ward seems really good. We've all made a few friends. Evan met two other Evan's the first day of class, one of which turned out to live in our apartment complex so we went to church together on Sunday. While Evan went and played Basketball at school with other Evan and some new friends, Josh and I went to the pool with Evan's wife who has an adorble little boy who's 7 months old.

Joshua is loving life. He crawls around from room to room babbling and screaming at everything he finds. He's like a whole new baby. He takes long naps, goes to bed early, gets up at 630. He's been laughing and taking turns talking with mom and dad. He even took his first steps his first day here. He's been standing by himself more and more. Life is pretty good in AZ.

Joshua started doing this face as he breaths through his nose in and out fast. We make the noise and do the face and he'll mimic it.

Joshua's rocking chair died really quickly right before packed it into the moving truck so we decided to buy a new and very much improved chair for his room.
I don't know how I talked Evan into buying new furniture for the living room. It was pretty nice not moving the two old falling apart couches from logan. I love our new couch!
Last but not least. Joshus goes swiming almost every day. This is one of the pools in our complex. Joshu loves the hot tube and waterfalls. He kicks and spashes. So cute.
